Promoting Healing Through Integrative Modalities Of Massage Therapy
Anna Baker, LMT, MMP, MI, CDT
Anna started Rockwall Medical Massage to work collaboratively with Rockwall’s medical community to maximize her client’s health and well-being. In 1996, she graduated from Massage Resources in Dallas. Over the years she studied many modalities including CranioSacral Therapy, Lymphatic Drainage, Medical Massage, Orthopedic, Prenatal, Reflexology, Sports massage, Thai massage, and Visceral Manipulation. Anna is also certified in the Chikly Method of Lymphatic Drainage Therapy and ACE massage cupping and MediCupping.
She spent the beginning of her career working with doctors and chiropractors. After moving to Rockwall, she worked at Every Body Massage with a great group of therapists. In 2009, she began working with kids with spasticity disorders. Although Anna had never worked with this population before, she learned there is a big need for therapists willing to serve kids in outlying areas. To grow as a therapist and serve her clients better, she completed 300 hours of training in medical massage as well as an internship at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas.
Telisa Dené Holt, LMT, MMP, MI
Dene has been practicing massage since 2001. In 2005 she became a massage instructor and has been with the RMM family since its inception. She specializes in Lymph Drainage Therapy, Fibromyalgia, Medical Massage, Neck & Shoulder Release, Prenatal, Reflexology, Orthopedic, and Visceral. Dene is certified in Raindrop massage, ACE massage cupping and MediCupping, and the Chikly Method of Lymphatic Drainage Therapy. She is also Upledger Institute Certified as a practitioner in CranioSacral Therapy.
Currently, she is continuing her education in CranioSacral Therapy, Lymph Drainage Therapy, and Orthopedics. In her free time Dene enjoys traveling, camping, and kayaking all over Texas and Arkansas.
Kristen Porter, LMT, CESMT
Kristen began her career in 1999 in Ocala, FL by completing an Advanced Certification in Equine Sports Massage with Don Doran of Animal Dynamics. In 2005, she expanded her skills graduating from Hands On Therapy School of Massage in Mesquite. Kristen began working with local doctors and chiropractors which led to the opportunity in 2008 to open a private practice in Rockwall.
Throughout her career, Kristen has continued to expand her learning and mastery of multiple modalities of massage practice. Her vast experience includes the following methods: Chikly Method of Lymphatic Drainage Therapy, ACE Massage Cupping/MediCupping, and Virginia Brown’s Myoflexxion Techniques for deep tissue and sports massage. Kristen also has refined massage skills in Trigger Point, Orthopedic, Thai Yoga, AromaTouch, Prenatal, and Reiki Level One. Her synergistic approach and practical applications of massage modalities have contributed to Kristen’s expertise. She strives to provide a custom massage plan for each client and is passionate about helping them achieve maximum functionality and freedom from pain.
Kristen is continuing her learning by working towards her 500-hour Yoga Teacher Certification and advanced classes with Chikly Health Institute. She enjoys spending her free time with her daughter and their animals, gardening, camping, and traveling.
Tina Rizzo, LMT, MMP
In 2001 Tina graduated from Hands on Therapy School of Massage in Mesquite. In 2004 she became a massage instructor and continuing education provider, dedicating many years of teaching massage in the school setting. She worked with many doctors, chiropractors, and wellness centers before joining the RMM family in 2019. Through therapeutic care for clients’ needs, she brings more of an integrative approach to massage.
She specializes in medical massage modalities like MediCupping, Deep Tissue, Lymphatic Drainage Therapy, Sports massage, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, TMJ dysfunction, and Trigger Point Therapy. Her relaxing approach includes Lomi Lomi Massage, Prenatal, Raindrop therapy, Reflexology, and Swedish.
Tina’s heart for people inspired her to become a massage therapist. She believes there is a calling on her life to help others. Massage therapy offers the opportunity to provide relaxation, relief from pain and trauma, or a sense of peace the body needs. To her, massage is about reviving the body, quieting the mind, and relaxing the spirit. In her free time Tina enjoys reading, painting, and creative cooking.
Amy Weber, LMT ,MMP, Reiki
In 1991 Amy graduated from Emporia State University in Kansas and spent several years working in the printing industry. However, her compassion for others ultimately inspired her to make a career change. In 2004 she graduated from Hands On Therapy School of Massage in Mesquite. Amy is certified in Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Medical Massage, Myofascial Release, and Sports Massage. Amy is also certified in CranioSacral therapy from the Upledger Institute.
Amy is also a Level Three practitioner of Reiki, which studies the flow of the body’s energy and brings it into balance using a light touch. This practice reduces energetic and emotional blockages that are a result of stress and/or trauma and supports the natural flow of the body’s energy centers. Amy believes that massage therapy can be an unexpected solution to many of the body’s general aches, pains, and dysfunctions. It is a simple way to receive great relief without long-term negative side effects. In her experience she tends to find that less is more, which is why she is attracted to light touch work such as CranioSacral therapy and Reiki energy work. In her spare time Amy enjoys painting, drawing, and working with her horses and dogs. She is also a huge fan of college basketball. Go Jayhawks!
Daniel Kropp, LMT, MMP
Daniel, known to his clients and friends as “Danny”, is a Texas Tech alumnus and graduated from the Texas Center for Massage Therapy in 2013. He is also a certified massage instructor and ran his own successful business before joining the RMM family in 2020. Throughout his seven-year career he has accumulated over 1300 hours of continued education in Sports massage, CranioSacral, stretching techniques, Kinesio taping, lower back and hip flexion, and shoulder ROM. Danny specializes in Hot Towel Trigger Point Therapy and some of his favorite modalities include Medical Massage, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Releasing, ROM stretching, hip/shoulder dysfunctions, and Sports massage.
Danny’s passion for sports led him into the massage world. Having to rehabilitate injuries himself, he found that massage therapy played a big role in his recovery. He believes that massage is beneficial for everyone and his goal is to help his clients achieve a pain free life. In his spare time Danny enjoys life in the great outdoors, namely hunting, fishing, and playing sports.
Leigh McLaughlin, LMT, MMP
Leigh has spent the last fifteen years of her life pursuing a passion for health, fitness, wellness, and the human body. She has been a practitioner and teacher in martial arts, kettlebells, weightlifting, and yoga. Leigh strongly believes that massage therapy is a critical part of overall health and wellness.
As a graduate of Hands On Approach School of Massage in Dallas, Leigh focuses on deep tissue massage and body mechanics. She specializes in working with athletes and active adults, teenagers heavily involved in school and club athletics, and executives in high-stress jobs that want an integrative approach to their health and overall wellness.
Danni Hudspeth, RN, LMT
Danni has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2001. Prior to that her career was in healthcare as a Registered Nurse, a Homeopathic practitioner, and lactation consultant. Danni is certified in Lymphatic Drainage Therapy, CranioSacral Therapy, and Bowenwork Therapy. These modalities are her passion, and she likes focusing on the light touch work that helps move fluid throughout the body to enhance immunity.
In Danni’s spare time she enjoys gardening, playing her Native American Flute, practicing yoga, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Ying Liu Crunk, LMT, MI
Ying Liu comes to Rockwall Medical Massage with over 20 years experience. Ying received her massage training in China and enjoys blending her Traditional Chinese Massage methods with Western techniques. Knowing that she is able to help people in pain, especially with headaches, feeds Ying’s passion for Massage therapy.
In her spare time, Ying enjoys reading and spending time with her grandchildren.
Karen Tabor Charles, LMT, CCT
Karen has been a Licensed Massage Therapist for over 30 years and has studied in New York, New Mexico, California and Texas. She believes in a system of enhanced self-awareness to support the mind-body-spirit-emotion connection, which helps to create a strong immune system. Training in Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Myofascial Release, Acupressure, Reflexology and Cupping allow Karen to provide a truly unique session for each client. In her spare time, Karen enjoys time at the lake with family and friends.
Carisa Ballard, LMT
In 2017 Carisa graduated from Texas Center of Massage Therapy Arlington. She is certified in sports massage, deep tissue, Swedish, reflexology and cupping. She is passionate about massage therapy and even before receiving formal training people would often tell her she should be a massage therapist. She feels that doing body work is a natural gift that allows her to facilitate healing through therapeutic touch. Her natural affinity for body work and nurturing touch helps clients reduce pain, increase relaxation and flexibility, and improve overall wellness.
Marina Maytak, LMT
Marina recently closed her thriving practice in Seattle, WA to relocate to Texas. She has been practicing massage therapy for over 12 years, having graduated from Cortiva Institute of Massage in Seattle WA. She offers deep tissue, neck & shoulder release, medical massage, and prenatal massage. Marina specializes in injury rehab and treatment. She has extensive training in treating neck pain and dysfunction, specifically with auto accidents. She is fascinated by how muscles perform individually, in groups and in their mechanics movement.
Christa Miner, LMT, MMP, CMLDT
Christa has recently joined the RMM family after closing her practice in Austin to relocate. She is passionate about massage, believing it is a necessary part of health maintenance rather than a luxury! Christa is an injury, chronic pain and TMJ specialist. She has personally experienced the benefits of Manual Lymphatic Drainage and has completed certification to assist clients preparing for and recovering from surgery.
