Deep tissue massage
Focused work for persistent tension.
Deep tissue massage uses slower, deliberate techniques to work with tight muscles and connective tissue while staying responsive to your comfort.
Pressure with a purpose
Deep tissue massage is not simply a harder version of relaxation massage. Your therapist works gradually through layers of tension, focusing on the areas that affect comfort and movement.
The amount of pressure is adjusted throughout the session. Productive work should feel focused and manageable, and you are always encouraged to speak up about what your body needs.
What to expect
Your therapist will discuss the areas that concern you and may combine sustained pressure, slower strokes, trigger-point work, stretching, or movement. The session can focus on one region or address connected areas that may be contributing to the tension.
Massage therapy is complementary care and does not replace diagnosis or treatment from a physician.
