Visceral manipulation
Gentle attention to the body’s deeper connections.
Visceral manipulation is a gentle, hands-on modality focused on mobility in the abdomen and the connective tissues surrounding the body’s organs.
Precise, responsive bodywork
The body’s organs, muscles, fascia, and supporting structures move in relationship with one another. A trained therapist uses subtle, specific contact to assess areas of restricted movement and work with the surrounding tissues.
This modality may be incorporated into a broader medical massage session when abdominal tension or deeper tissue relationships may be relevant to the client’s goals.
What to expect
Your therapist begins with a conversation about your health history and comfort. The work is generally gentle and may be performed over clothing or directly on an appropriate area with your permission and clear draping.
Massage therapy is complementary care and does not replace diagnosis or treatment from a physician.
